A special evening of prayer, inspiration, hope, & knowledge honoring St. Rita of Cascia and victims of domestic abuse. Held in May around St. Rita of Cascia’s Feast Day.
Our Prayer Vigil/Service includes guest speakers who have knowledge with regard to domestic abuse either from a legal aspect and/or from a counselling background. The event also weaves in spiritual components such as readings and psalms from the Bible and music from St. Michael’s Music Ministry.

These items are donated to those victims who are in shelters. All donations may be brought to the Parish Office at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Please make sure all donated items are new. Trial sizes are appreciated as well.
Educational Presentations Hosted by The St. Rita Ministry
Our ministry has hosted different educational presentations throughout the years, such as the CDC’s Choose Respect program for 11 to 14 years olds and their parents. This presentation helps youth and adults recognize the warning signs of an abusive relationship and teaches youth and adults how to have healthy relationships.
We have also hosted presentations on Building Healthy Families. Different psychologist and counselors present information regarding domestic abuse and answer questions you may have. The clergy also speak to help us understand the spiritual contention.
Educational presentations are available upon request. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, so that is when we have hosted educational presentations in the past.
